Alchemy of Architecture (season 1)

‘Alchemy’ suggests a transformation from film to something else and a recall of architecture’s alchemic consequence used to work in cities.

Setting historical Kikusaka street (chrysanth HIll) as the site, taking literature written by people used live with their traces, descritptions about the area and films located by Kenji Mizoguchi, Mikio Naruse and etc. as materials to be shared.

Attendants emphasised their motivation observing people’s life and memories projected on the landscape of very characteristic geography. Taking idea of narrative in film and structure in architecture, there was a work with an architectural procedure that an object transformed from a film was brought back to the site with a performance.
